Plot Synopsis
In 2021, in Venus, Oregon, Shelly, a waitress at Carol's Diner, exchanges information about a man named Frank Quintanno with an unseen patron. Later that night, she visits his motel room, asking for Tamara. Subsequently, Shelly, Dollface, and Scarecrow murder Frank in the woods, then embrace in the rain.

Two years later, in 2023, Maya Lucas is recovering at Venus County Hospital from an encounter with three masked strangers. The Sheriff and his Deputy dismiss her claims, aiming to prevent state and federal police involvement and the exposure of their cover-ups. Meanwhile, the town of Venus reacts differently to Maya's attack.

As night falls, Maya is trapped in the hospital as the strangers, discovering she is alive, pursue her. After evading Scarecrow in the morgue, where he kills an orderly, Maya escapes to a horse farm. She seeks help from the owner, but Pin-Up Girl kills the owner with a crossbow. Maya fends off the stranger with a pitchfork before flagging down Nurse Danica and her roommate, Chris Sampson, who are driving home.

Maya, agreeing to go to their home, discovers her roommates, Gregory and Neil, walking in the rain during the drive. Panicked by the realization that the car's occupants are her attackers, Maya escapes into the woods. There, she stitches her wounds and finds an abandoned campsite.

She starts a fire but is attacked by a wild boar, released by Scarecrow. Maya kills the boar and flees. Meanwhile, Pin-Up Girl, observing Maya, has flashbacks of her childhood with Scarecrow, where she murdered a jealous classmate named Tamara.

Back in the present, Maya returns to the cabin where she was attacked and changes clothes. State police officer Billy Bufford finds her and tries to help her escape Venus, but Pin-Up Girl kills him. Maya flees in Bufford's car, but it breaks down outside a house belonging to Gregory, Danica, Chris, and Wayne.

They take her in, and Gregory questions Maya about her wounds and the Strangers' reign of terror in the town. After Gregory leaves, Pin-Up Girl and Dollface attack and kill the remaining occupants, as well as the EMT driver sent to transport Maya to Portland.

Maya's escape into the EMT is short-lived as Pin-Up Girl, concealed within, ambushes her. Maya seemingly kills Pin-Up Girl by stabbing her in the neck with scissors, then flees in the EMT.

However, Pin-Up Girl revives during the ride and attempts to choke Maya. Maya deliberately crashes the EMT, ejecting Pin-Up Girl through the windshield and causing her death. As Maya escapes into the woods, Dollface and Scarecrow arrive in their truck. From her hidden vantage point, Maya observes them mourning Pin-Up Girl and removing her mask.
