Plot Synopsis

Ten years after the original Four Horsemen heist, a new magical trio—Charlie, Bosco, and June—emerge. They use deepfakes and holograms to stage a mock Four Horsemen show, successfully draining a corrupt cryptocurrency exchange owner's wallet and distributing the stolen funds to the audience.

In their hideout, they are met by J. Daniel Atlas, an original Horseman, who recruits them for a plot devised by The Eye, the secret magic society. Guided by a tarot card, their mission is to steal "The Heart," the world's largest diamond, currently owned by Veronika Vanderberg. Vanderberg, head of a South African diamond company, is the daughter of a former Nazi who used the business to launder money for criminals. Soon after, Veronika is anonymously threatened with exposure of her company's illegal activities unless she surrenders the diamond.

The heist takes place at a private party in Belgium where the diamond is being exhibited for auction. Atlas and the young magicians use disguises, prop switching, and misdirection to steal the diamond from Vanderberg

As security and police attempt pursuit, they are halted by the arrival of the remaining original Horsemen: Jack Wilder, Henley Reeves, and Merritt McKinney. The original Horsemen explain that The Eye also sent them tarot cards to assist with the plan. They later reveal that a botched heist led to their leader, Dylan Shrike, being arrested and imprisoned in Russia, causing the group to split and disappear from the public eye.

The group travels to an estate in France owned by The Eye. There, they meet Thaddeus Bradley, The Eye’s grandmaster and former debunker, who also received a card instructing him to help. Thaddeus tells them that Veronika's secrets are hidden within the estate and urges them to find them.

When police, acting on Veronika’s orders, arrive to raid the estate, the group splits up. They utilize the estate’s illusory rooms—including an Ames room, Relativity-inspired stairs, and a rotating corridor—to disorient and subdue the police. Atlas, Henley, Bosco, and Charlie manage to escape, but Merritt, Jack, and June are captured. During the escape, Thaddeus is shot in the chest and dies in the escape tunnel.

At the police station, Vanderberg interrogates Merritt. Merritt unnerves her by correctly deducing that Veronika murdered her mother and brother due to family conflict. An upset Veronika leaves and prepares to take June, but Lula May, another former Horseman disguised as a drunk elderly woman, intervenes. Jack, June, and Lula escape during the ensuing fights, though Merritt is recaptured by Vanderberg. The reunited group begins planning Merritt's rescue as Vanderberg receives another call from the unknown voice, pressuring her to retrieve the diamond.

Vanderberg and the Horsemen agree to a swap at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, where a party for Vanderberg's Formula 1 team is underway. To create a diversion, Bosco and Charlie steal the F1 car on display, initiating a police chase. Meanwhile, the Horsemen and Merritt find themselves trapped by Veronika, who reveals the meeting was a ruse to lure them into a glass cube. She plans to bury them alive as sand fills the cube. Veronika then drives off to her desert vault to meet the unknown voice and hand over the diamond. The Horsemen escape by breaking a water pipe, which shatters the glass cube.

Veronika arrives at her vault, takes a handgun from a guard, and enters the elevator. Inside the vault, the unknown caller reveals himself to be Charlie, Veronika's long-lost brother, who she believed had drowned years ago. He reveals that their mother saved him. A tearful Veronika apologizes and gives Charlie the diamond, but then attempts to shoot him. Charlie, seemingly dead, moves as Veronika reaches for the diamond, revealing he caught the bullet in his teeth.

When Veronika tries to shoot again, the gun fires blanks. The vault walls open, revealing that Veronika is on a Horsemen stage with a live audience. It is exposed that the car Veronika got into was driven by Charlie, the security guard she took the gun from was Bosco, and the car drove into a fake sandstorm in the rear of a truck driven by June, making Veronika believe she was heading to her vault. The "elevator ride" was just the Horsemen rolling a box onto the stage.

Charlie reveals he was the mastermind, orchestrating the entire plot over the past decade, including bringing the Horsemen together initially. Every clue was his creation, designed to enact his revenge on Veronika. Authorities arrest Veronika. Charlie and the other Horsemen announce to the crowd that all clients of the Vanderberg company involved in illegal activity will be reported, and the diamond mining profits and "The Heart" will be returned to the people of South Africa.

Some time later, The Horsemen are at Charlie, June, and Bosco's hideout when a package arrives. Upon opening it, a hologram of Dylan, who apparently faked his imprisonment, appears and informs them that more work awaits.
