MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 5, 2026, (ENTERTAINMENT INTERVIEWS) — Food company General Mills has partnered with Shaquille O’Neal to launch the Biggest Fan Contest featuring Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Reese’s Puffs and Honey Nut Cheerios.
Participants can enter by uploading a photo or video explaining why they should be named the company’s biggest cereal fan. Entries will be accepted through Dec. 31.
“I have been eating cereal my whole life, and I’m still just as excited about it now as I was when I was young. Lucky Charms has always been a favorite — those marshmallows never get old to me. This contest is a chance to celebrate that same excitement in fans everywhere who love cereal as much as I do,” said O’Neal.
The grand prize includes two VIP tickets to Shaq’s Fun House, a meeting with O’Neal, $20,000 and $1,000 in spending money.
Additional prizes include two one-ounce gold bars, a Cinnamon Toast Crunch-themed entertainment room, a Reese’s Puffs turntable and sound system and a Honey Nut Cheerios bowl-inspired hot tub. Each prize package also includes a one-year supply of cereal and access to Shaq’s Fun House.
Early entrants may also receive limited-edition merchandise while supplies last.
“Our cereal fans bring incredible passion and personality to the brands they love, and we believe we have some of the best fans out there. With Shaq bringing his larger-than-life energy to the Biggest Fan Contest, we wanted to create a fun way for people to join in, show their love for their favorite cereals and compete for some seriously unforgettable prizes,” said Megan Brooks, Business Unit Director for Family Favorite Cereals at General Mills.
General Mills will release limited-edition Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Reese’s Puffs and Honey Nut Cheerios boxes in August featuring cereal-inspired temporary tattoos.
The company is also offering a $10 reward to qualifying shoppers who spend at least $25 on participating General Mills products in a single transaction between Aug. 15 and Nov. 28 and submit their receipt by Dec. 13. Additional eligibility requirements and restrictions apply.
The 100 highest-scoring contest entries will be reviewed by cereal content creator Ami Moyal. O’Neal will select the grand-prize winner, who is scheduled to be announced on National Cereal Day on March 7, 2027.
A related advertising campaign featuring O’Neal and other cereal fans will begin appearing on television, streaming services and social media platforms Sept. 1.
