Lenovo Launches Global Small Business Initiative With Eva Longoria

MORRISVILLE, N.C., March 18, 2026 (ENTERTAINMENT INTERVIEWS) — Technology company, Lenovo, has announced the launch of “Backing Every Business,” a global initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses.

The initiative will provide selected founders with a $10,000 grant, AI-enabled Lenovo technology and one-to-one mentorship, including mentorship from actress, entrepreneur and investor Eva Longoria. Applications are open to eligible small business owners in Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States, with selected participants to be notified in May 2026.
The program includes a cross-border mentorship model called “Twinning,” which pairs small business owners across industries and geographies for one-to-one collaboration. For a select group of participants, Longoria will serve as their mentor.

The campaign will run across television, digital, social and print channels, with its commercial debut scheduled during nationally televised NBA games on Christmas Day. The spot features Williams interacting with the IWant system while performing everyday tasks, including checking his postseason bonus and joking about whether a championship parade qualifies as a company holiday.

Thompson will work with World Mobile to raise awareness of infrastructure gaps in both rural and urban areas and will oversee the launch of the Community Connectivity Fund, a multi-million-dollar program designed to provide affordable, high-speed internet to low-income neighborhoods. The fund will support pilot projects, local infrastructure development, and community education on network ownership.
World Mobile also announced a partnership with Indonesia’s largest digital infrastructure company, Protelindo, to develop a stratospheric connectivity network. The network will use hydrogen-powered, fixed-wing aircraft operating as High-Altitude Platform Systems at approximately 20,000 meters to deliver direct-to-handset internet access. According to the company, these aircraft can serve hundreds of thousands of concurrent users while reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 99% compared to satellite-based solutions.
